When it is launched in the next autumn, the Xbox Kinect will be one of the first gadgets that will enable users to have control only by the simple use of gestures. This is part of a new technology that most probably will grow with time and will spread to other gadgets and house appliances also.

The Kinect will likely be the forerunner of all sorts of applications that will deem the buttons that surround us today obsolete. Our TVs without the use of a remote, our microwaves without needing to push a button and our lights without switching them on or off. Everything will be done by moving a hand, a finger, or by another subtitle gesture. Thus, making us the controller.
