Everyone’s favorite interactive fitness video and virtual reality experience, Your Shape Fitness Evolved is coming back with a passion in the latest incarnation, Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012.

With this sequel, Ubisoft really push the Kinect technology to the limits with the addition of superb graphics and interactivity, and over 90 hours of improved and new content.

The fun looks endless as the experience uses every ounce of the Kinect technology and resources. It not only images you but follows you and lets you manipulate and change objects on the screen while you run, jump, crouch and do whatever exercises right in your living room.

One of the more interesting new activities is Run The World, where you run through the virtual streets of New York, Paris or London and enjoy the sights. Talk about burning calories the creative way!

This is the reason for Kinect. To get people off their butts and onto that healthy lifestyle of light to rigorous exercise. This keeps them bouncing, dancing and more. Not like other such devices that lets you slide, but here you have to earn to burn those calories and get those game points.

Form running up a mountain top in real or computer graphics environments to boxing against giant robots or balloons with the faces of the great heavyweights, this game and it’s Kinect options makes exercise all the more fun and adventurous bar none.

We don’t know all the bugs in the game although some reviews say there are a few that calls for you to pay a lot of attention and tweaking. However, the potential here for this fitness game is monumental. The new gameplay is amazing and boosts the credibility of the Kinect line-up as more options will come about.

This latest step up with Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 with improved tracking technology makes it the must-have game for those who want to work out and consider fitness to be an important part of their lives.

Personally, I want to see a “Star Trek” environment where the player can work out with the characters from the shows. Something like “Workout With Worf”.

Or how about celebrities joining in with their line of workouts so that you could workout with your favorite movie stars or TV stars or even characters from history like George Washington. That would be cool beans!
